Employable Skills · Independent Living · Dignity
From therapies to special education, UNMISH provides services to all children and young adults with disability. The major need that comes up as the child grows is how to keep them gainfully employed as a contributing member of society.
While India has ratified the UNCRPD, persons with disability continue to face many difficulties in the labour market. According to Census 2011, there are 2.68 Crore Persons with Disability in India, and their need for meaningful employment largely remains unmet.
UNMISH aims at imparting skills to individuals with disability. The goal is to make every person gainfully employed with or without assistance.

International research has underscored the long-term positive impact of sporting activities on autistic individuals. The findings show that individuals with autism can benefit hugely across physical, psychological, sensory integration, and social factors.
Above all, there are observable gains in self-confidence and self-esteem — crucial for overall self-development and mental health. The same principles apply to children, teenagers, and adults with other developmental special needs.
